Forge House
Forge House is a very old property (circa 1600), situated within a conservation area, which had been unsympathetically developed on various occasions prior to our client buying the property. We managed to secure planning for a large extension, larger in fact than the existing house, which in turn enabled us to redesign the layout of the entire house and bring it all together into one cohesive scheme. Initially we set to work gutting the existing house and also created several new openings, including the installation of a five metre glass screen in the new kitchen. We then moved onto the large extension and by carefully selecting stone from several local quarries we were able to blend the new extension with the existing older building. The resulting success? We created a house over twice the original size and doubled our clients investment.
